If you are not fully interested in the subject of your blog, sooner or later you are going to quit, even if you promise yourself that you will not quit at all. It takes a lot of time to build solid traffic. Blogging requires a lot of patience. The visitors will not start coming to your blog overnight. Everything takes time. Those who expect immediate results might simply give up due to this.
It is not easy to blog on a regular basis. Like it is with everything, our human nature makes it difficult for us to stick with tasks that we are supposed to do on a regular basis. A person might be excited about blogging but in a few months he might acquire other interests as well.
There is a lot of competition. Because of that it might be hard to have a popular blog, if you do not make any mistakes. The situation was completely different a few years before, as there was less competition.
Finally, you might not earn a lot of money in your first few months. I believe that passion for blogging is what is really important. However, if your blog does not immediately achieve success, you might feel disappointed.
