StumbleUpon is arguably the most powerful tool a blogger can use to promote his blog. While some topics are StumbleUpon-friendly, you should avoid doing certain things if you want your blog and posts to appear on StumbleUpon. One thing caught my attention recently. Many of us bloggers like to blog about themselves. It might sound like a good idea if you want to tell your relatives about your blog, but it will not guarantee you success on StumbleUpon. The reason is that highly personal content is not interesting to people who do not know anything about you. What people want to see on StumbleUpon are how-to guides and advice posts. People want to learn something from the posts they read and they will always look for ways to do it.
