Hiring SEO experts to increase traffic to your blog might not always be an option. If you already ruled out hiring professionals and decided to attract traffic yourself, you will have to take a few steps in order to increase traffic to your blog. Working on increasing traffic can be a very enjoyable experience. In this article, I am not going to try to convince you to write quality content or to host your blog on your own domain. Instead, I am going to focus on other ways of obtaining traffic.

Probably one of the easiest ways to find people who might be interested in your blog is by visiting forums and blogs covering the same fields of interest as yours. Once you visit a forum or a blog, make sure to leave a comment. If you comment on other blogs, you increase the chances that somebody might visit your blog in return.

Enabling comments on your blog should be your top priority. Most blogging platforms allow it by default, so you will not have to worry about that. When visitors visit your blog, comments are usually one of the first things they see. If they notice that a blog receives a lot of traffic and has many comments, they are more likely to keep visiting that blog. If you decide not to allow comments on your blog or if you do not encourage your readers to leave comments, the lack of a sense of community might discourage your prospective readers from visiting your blog again.
