Leaving comments on blogs is important if you are a blogger. If you are new to blogging, you will discover that networking with other bloggers can be beneficial to your blog. You need to leave a comment on a blog from time to time if you want to attract new visitors to your website. Leaving comments can also hurt your reputation, so be careful what comments you leave. I am going to share with you a few tips that will tell you what you can avoid while leaving comments.

1. Be positive while leaving comments. Avoid criticizing a blog or post at any cost. If you have something negative to say about a blog or post, send an email to the author.
2. Do not make your comments too short or too long. Short comments can look as spam and therefore might get deleted by the author. Too long comments can also be inappropriate. If you leave comments that are longer than posts you comment on, the author of the blog might feel overwhelmed with it. Remember to comment with moderation.
3. Take time to proofread your comments before publishing them. If you fail to do it, you risk making embarrassing spelling or grammar mistakes that you would not normally make.
4. Before leaving any comment, make sure to read carefully the post on which you comment. Commenting without reading can make you look unprofessional if you write something irrelevant in your comment.
5. Linking to your own blog in your comments can leave a bad impression. If you really need to link to your blog, make sure you only include one link.
