I do not understand people who save money on lighting. They prefer to have less lights rather than enjoy the benefits lighting can offer us. For some people, winter is a difficult time of year. Evenings are long and the sun does not show in the sky very often. It all depends of course in what country you live. For example, people in Canada rarely see the sun in winter. Lighting is not needed in residential buildings only. All commercial buildings need to use at least one Metal Halide ballast . As you can see, we do not install lights for health benefits only. Lighting is simply necessary, as without it people would not be able to conduct any businesses. Commercial lighting is different from residential lighting. Commercial buildings use different types of lighting, because they need to take care of larger surfaces that are in commercial building. Installing a few more lights might benefit a business a lot. If a commercial building has more light, more people might be willing to come and visit it. I have always been attracted by shops that have many lights in them and I enjoy visiting them, especially during winter, but in summer as well.
